The story of Junam begins… Actually the story of Junam starts with the origin of the word Junam: In Persian, Junam means "my dear", or more exactly, "my love". "Junam", this was how my grand-mother and my mother use to call me. And this is how my husband has always called me …although he is not Persian. Originally, my workshop was a small storehouse attached to our house…Well, to tell you the truth, we were not exactly living in a house; We were living in a tent. A tent that Itay and I built with our own hands. Back then, my time was divided between my flock of goats and my work in the studio. It was a wonderful period. During the day I would go out into the realms of nature, accompanied by the goats' breath, waiting for inspiration to come. In the evening, I would go in my studio and led by the inspiration I found during the day, I would shape the metal and create jewelry. Those were days filled with bucolic serenity and love. With time, my little workshop showed the desire to grow. I could only fulfill his request! Today, five years have passed, and my little studio gave birth to fifteen branches all over Israel. In 2010, we welcomed a new member in the family, a beautiful online store. |
